Diamond Don's 10th Annual AHRMA Riverport National Vintage Motocross surpassed our wildest dreams. Be sure to watch Facebook and YouTube for all the action. For our Facebook page, click here. More than 1500 people attended the event, a 10% increase over last year. Unofficial race entry numbers: Trials 28, Cross Country 178, Vintage 366, Post-Vintage 351. 923 race entries for the weekend compared to 855 last year. AHRMA signed up 70 members at our race: 38 new full memberships, 24 renewals and 8 weekend memberships. Thank you, racers, friends, sponsors, and AHRMA volunteers for continuing to support our event. 2013 date will be announced as soon as the Supercross schedule is out. As many of our racers and sponsors attend local Supercross, we try not to conflict with Dallas, Houston, St. Louis or New Orleans. See you next year. Message to riders at Diamond Don's 10th Annual event. Thanks so much for supporting our event. We hope to see you next year. To put aside any misconceptions, I'd like to describe our arrangement with AHRMA. As promoters, Don and I are responsible for all of the track staff including sign-up, scoring, flaggers, and starting and finish line. AHRMA is responsible for memberships, tech, referee and resolving protests. Any difficulties you may have had with sign up or scoring rest entirely with Don and me. While we do make mistakes, we always learn from them and intend to improve the process for next year. If we decide to use transponders again, we will have an adequate process in place to assure timely results. We will open sign-up on Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon for at least four hours each day to resolve the issues surrounding the large number of post-entries. If you have any concerns regarding scoring on Saturday or Sunday, please let me know and I will work to resolve. We appreciate your continued support and understanding.
